preserveCulture.org is creating awareness for some of the beautiful art forms by offering free art classes in the Portland area. Art forms such as Madhubani, Kalamkari, Pichvai, Rajasthani Miniature Paintings, and others are world-renowned and can be found in many museums around the world but at the same time, these art forms are being practiced less and less as artists engaged in pursuing these art forms are not able to make a decent living. Our goal in offering these free classes is to create awareness and appreciation for these art forms and we hope that a few students will carry these forward and help achieve our mission to preserve culture.
